| - This project is a more refined reflection of Domus, Smithfield's first development here in Arizona. Unfortunately, the developer died summer of 2016 making The Trend @51 Bill Smiths last project.
Personally I prefer the Industrial style modern look, it's a refreshing contrast to the typical Southwest Tuscan style that's saturated the market.
I'd recommend a top floor unit if any are available. They carry a different look and feel than the units below (vaulted ceilings, exposed hvac & I-beams) All the units have huge patios. I rarely ever see my neighbors other than the Christmas parties, which were surprisingly more fun than I thought they'd be.
The amenities here are simply unmatched ...and well kept I might add. I took residency when it was managed by Mark-Taylor and have since stayed after Weidner's acquisition in 2016. Both are excellent property management companies, but Weidner has a more personal touch and keeps the property polished. Example: The window washers missed my apartment and Weidner had them come back out just for mine. They drain the pool & jacuzzi just before summer to insure a clean start to pool season and when I unknowingly parked in someone else's reserved spot, they came to my door after I didn't pick up my phone so I wouldn't get towed. That's good people in my book.
I rarely read 5 star reviews as I'm looking for the criticism and short comings to better evaluate the service, product or restaurant. So to that end, I'll give you the downsides to this project.
The hallways are narrow. I hear the walls are thin and although I'm not affected by this, I don't doubt it. Finally, storage is short. I can't believe not having a walk-in closet hasn't bothered me.
Other than that: Great property, Great location, Great management. A+
