I purchased a Groupon to come and try training at Crossfit Strength about a month ago. The price was really great and I thought why not. When trying to figure out how to set up my first class it was extremely difficult. At the time they did not have a direct phone number and emailing them was very inefficient. It took forever to hear back from them and the whole booking process was extremely unorganized.
I then came in for my first class and the establishment was very unorganized on arrival as well. I walked in and could not find the owner/trainer for about 5-10 mins. Had I not been someone who would ask around I would never have figured it out. In addition they provided no additional information or guidance for me as a newcomer. Having never done Crossfit before I had no idea where to start or what I was doing. After fumbling through the first few workouts and half-assedly piecing together what I was supposed to be doing I finally just left about 40% of the way through the workout.
If you are looking for a place that is great for beginners and new Crossfit people, this is not the place for you. These folks are much more advanced and it felt like they weren't interested in new people at all. Which begs the question why offer a Groupon if you aren't willing to help all the new people have the best experience possible.
