  • I have been looking for mosaic accent tile for over a week. I've literally been everywhere and did, in fact find one that I liked so much but was totally out of my budget. My tile installer told me to try Floor Decor because of their large selection. I asked someone at the register if they could find someone to help me and they paged, but no one every showed....And then I went to the design desk and asked the same question and they did the same thing, but once again, no one showed. And then.......it happened. I saw a young man walking towards me and I asked if he was responding to the overhead page and he said "No, but what can I help you with?" Well from that moment on I had 100% of his attention for the next hour. Before I go any further, I must mention his name. It is Matt!!!! And he is not stationed in the accent department but you could have fooled me. Matt knew everything about tile, accent pieces, mosaics, and everything in between. He started asking me questions like did I want the accent piece to blend, to pop, to match with the tile I had already purchased at a competitor. So, Matt said he would push the cart and we would walk the aisle and put different pieces in to compare color combinations, etc. I was totally blown out of the water (I guess there is a pun intended) when he asked someone else that worked in that area if they had a spray bottle of water. I'm thinking to myself why he would want a spray bottle so when I asked him he told me so I could see what the tile and accent piece would look when wet. BRILLIANT!!!!!! Since this was going in my shower it made perfect sense, however no one in any other tile store every brought that up to me. We compared probably 11 accent pieces up against the tile I had purchased. His eye for detail was amazing. He has been with the company for 5 years and I see him as a future manager one day soon. What a gift I received from a young man named Matt today. He was just doing his job but I received an encyclopedia full of information from a master. Thank you Matt. By the way, I love that accent tile I purchased. I'll be back.
