  • People like Jason the mechanic don't exist anymore, especially not in this town. I feel extremely lucky to have met him because for the first time ever, I can confidently say that I TRUST my mechanic, which is a big deal for me (I've owned eight different cars in eleven years). He was professional, honest, understanding, and friendly. In fact, these adjectives won't do Jason justice. He's just that good (and possibly even better). I visited Jason's shop twice for different issues, and both times the man was incredible. He was real about what my car really needed. He took the time to explain and even show me what needed repairs although I know nothing about cars. He was also willing and patient enough to work around my schedule although he was clearly busy with other customers. Overall, Jason is a solid person to do business with. Maybe I've just encountered a lot of deceitful and incompetent mechanics in the past, but either way, this man is amazing, and I'm not letting any other mechanic lay hands on my car as long as I'm living within 300 miles of this city. BTW, his shop might be a little tricky to find--I almost gave up looking for it the first time I went searching for it, but I'm glad I didn't give up because it was so worth it. It's located on 745 W Sunset Rd, on S Middlegate Rd. So if you're coming off the 95 and heading east on W Sunset, turn right onto Middlegate St as soon as you see Sunset Service Center on your right (where the far right lane merges into the middle lane). When you turn right, you'll see buildings spray painted with numbers. Jason's shop is toward the end of the road in the building marked with the number "15". It's a little tricky to find, but don't give up! Call him if you need better directions.
