When I first walked in, I was like like... whoa. This is terrible.
Basically, this place used to be like an actual Irish pub with lots of dark wood, low lighting, and squishy booths. Totally my kind of place. Now it is a start white industrial hipster hangout with the worst scary bright lights and it is SO loud.
I was not pleased. I used to love this place. It was one of my favorite spots downtown because of the chill ambiance and pub-like interior. They totally ruined all of that. I wish they would have kept it how it was.
However, onto the positive. I ordered a strip steak and it was absolutely fantastic. Cooked perfectly. The brussel sprouts it came with were absolutely delicious and the mashed potatoes were on point. The two people I was with both ordered the fish fry which they said was excellent. Honestly some of the best food I've had at a restaurant in awhile. A little pricey but I'd say it's mostly worth it. If the inside and atmosphere wasn't so terrible, I would have given this a strong five stars.
Also, our waitress was lovely and even though she was very busy, she was attentive and kind.
I definitely suggest eating here, but not at a busy time unless you want to be screaming at whoever you're with to have a conversation. Also, wear make up because that lighting isn't doing anyone any favors.
