  • During my two weeks of looking for a new used car I visited here twice, the first time was so-so and the second time just got worse from there. The first time I had visited I called twice ahead of time to make sure they had the car in stock and on the lot, I was told yes both times. When I showed up 20 minutes after the phone call I was told upon arrival the car was "at their other lot being sold right at the moment" which I figured was one of their ways to lure you in and get you to look at different cars. The sales guy showed us two cars that weren't too great looks wise that we weren't interested in, after trying to get us into a brand new car we declined and moved on. Fast forward several days I am still looking around online and found an adorable little used Kia for sale that had low mileage and was an alright price at just over $5000 and showed it had been listed on their site for 29 days, so I called to see if they still had it and scheduled a test drive. Funny the sales rep didn't show it to us the first time we were there, instead he was just interested in getting us into a $8-10k car. When we got there they did have the car but the first thing the sales rep let us know was that "They just got the car in as a trade in and it hadn't been cleaned" when I questioned him about it being listed for almost a month he said that maybe they did have it that long he wasn't sure, which wasn't too great to hear that he didn't know anything about the car he was about to try to sell us. For having it listed for a month I figured they would have cleaned it some time between then and when people were looking at it, but I was wrong the seats were covered in dog hair, the floor. center con. and trunk still had trash left from the previous owner the sales rep made a few jokes about it but it didn't help the fact it was filthy. During the test drive and looking the car over we noticed a few things that needed to be fixed such as a broken door stay, a whining noise in the engine, the drivers seat belt not re-coiling once you take it off, etc. Even with all of that I figured once it is properly cleaned out it wouldn't be bad inside we just wanted to know what the issue with the engine was so we could get it fixed, the sales guy said they would have to keep the car anyways since the safety inspection hadn't been done yet so even if I bought it that day I wouldn't be able to take it home. I said that was fine and we went inside to sit down and discuss the car price and payments, I was going to be putting down a bit over half of the price of the car and financing the rest. I was told I couldn't finance not because of my credit but because "it was too small of a loan the bank won't make any money off of it unless they charge me a really high interest rate". The sales guy said he would be right back so he could see what he could do, when he came back there was $0 taken off the car, no suggestions on putting down a lower down payment and taking a higher fiance amount, etc instead there was a nice $750 charge which he said was for them cleaning it/buffering the head light and telling us when the whine in the engine was then tried to talk us into a car that was twice as much so that I could get financed. I had a trade in as well which they offered $100 in trade in credit for a 2005 car which just needed a seal replaced that broke after recently replacing the axels. It was a very unpleasant experience and I will not be returning to this location to look for a car the next time I need one. I had one of their things for the $25 gift card for a test drive as well but I didn't get that either. Don't let sales guys try to push or bully you into buying a car that you don't think is "the one" if you feel pressured by the sales guy or feel like they are lying to you walk away because you will find better dealerships out there. The good news is after dealing with this car dealer the next day is when I found the car that was "the one" and I am very happy with that purchase, I also sold my car they offered a $100 for 15x the low ball amount they offered me for trade in so in a way it works out that I didn't end up with the one from this lot.
