  • I'm not picky, I'll even eat some 2.99 express California roll in a pinch. Having grew up in Vancouver though and being spoiled by good sushi, its hard to find something similar elsewhere. (not specific to Calgary, I've been in Toronto for a long time!) This place was recommended to me by a friend for a great casual sushi joint not like miku in Vancouver level. "This is the closest you'll get to Vancouver-tier sushi in Calgary!" and he was right! Maybe not about the ONLY place by all means I'm sure there are other places in town but this place does remind me of sushi back home - Big, fresh, generous pieces of fish, good fish to rice ratio in their rolls, and great value. Got the deluxe platter for two and for ~20 each we had so much sushi! So stuffed with yummy goodness. Will definitely be back many many times before I leave this great city.
