Leah's is what happens when an amateur opens a bake shop. This is NOT the Harboard Bakery. The cure for bad baking is to find a great teacher, not to triple the amount of sugar and cost-compensate by cutting the quality and quantity of essentials like chocolate and vanilla. Sadly, even Gaylon Weston's Blahblah's up the street has finer (and less expensive) baked goods. Come Purim, I will be trundling down to the Harboard for my hamantashen, and not just for the superior product but because, unlike Leah's, the Harboard upholds the tradition of the great Jewish bakery by giving back to the neighbourhood. I wish I could think of something nice to say about this place but it's been a great disappointment.
