| - Dotty Dumpling's has been getting better and better over the past few years. I didn't have a lot whole to complain about for my last review, and I have even less now. Dotty Dumplings' burgers are good stuff.
Their burgers are always flavorful, whether it's a Melting Pot, with their amazing English garlic sauce and three cheeses or a build-your-own, which my husband usually gets with cheddar and bacon. What I started to do on my last few visits was order a build-your-own with muenster cheese and then put into my burger cheese curds, onion rings, and English garlic sauce from the sampler basket. I love the combination of flavors and textures in their burgers: juicy beef patty; creamy cheese; garlicky bite of the sauce; crisp lettuce, tomato, and pickle; and a soft bun to absorb all of the juices and sauces. But you can get amazing textures and flavors from their signature burgers as well--if you want the cooks to do the burger assembling for you my favorite is the Boomerang, though I discovered the Toadstool on my last visit was crazy delicious. It's hard to beat the prices of their burgers for the quality that you get, too.
Dotty Dumpling's has been getting more and more kid friendly over the years, too. They added a kids menu 3-4 years ago and put their kids drinks in a plastic cup you can take home. On a few occasions when we've mentioned that our kids were splitting one kids meal they have split it for us and put their meals in separate baskets.
And let me say, I love the decor and feel of the place. My kids adore the model airplanes and I like the dark tavern-feel and the black and white movies--they provide a little entertainment but they aren't overstimulating like football games or even home improvement shows and don't take my attention away from my food nor my company.
Dotty Dumpling's continues to prove that they take pride in their burgers and in providing an excellent experience for their diners.
