It's either Jamm's or I-Hop or Denny's. Until recently Jamm's was the choice. I haven't had a bad meal there in at least a dozen visits for breakfast.
If only I'm lucky enough to visit when that cackling waitress has the day off. She's a great gal, don't get me wrong, but wow that laugh is tough to take early in the morning.
One time I had a "fluffy" omelet. Well, it wasn't fluffy. It was a regular omelet like any other. I mentioned it to the lady at the cash register when I paid. "I don't think that was a fluffy omelet," I said. Just a harmless comment, not a complaint.
Of course she got huffy. I think she was the owner. She looked at me like, Who are you the galloping gourmet? "All of our omelets are fluffy," she insisted in a crabby tone.
OK fine, calm down. It left me with such a negative feeling I haven't been back. It's not that I'm holding a grudge but an experience like that cuts my enthusiasm for a place. I don't feel welcome there anymore. Now I go to Red Rock casino or Denny's. Jamm's is so busy that one customer more or less is no big deal. They won't have that annoying fluffy omelet guy to deal with anymore.
Good for kids: Don't encourage people with "good for kids" votes. Let 'em invade Denny's or I-Hop with their screaming whining little hellions. This is a small restaurant. A tantrum will disrupt the whole place.
