Maybe we just didn't know what to order, but I think in general you can tell a decent Thai place by it's soup.
We ordered for the first time from Bangkok, and were extremely disappointed. The Tom Kha Soup was actually inedible. Pretty sure they used the wrong kind of coconut milk - they seem to have put the sweet kind in? It's either that, or they literally tossed in a cup of sugar. Either way, you can't eat the soup... it's cloyingly sweet. Yikes.
Also the crust on the angel wings was soggy and stale - the exact opposite of what it's supposed to be (we even took the time to order it crispy - that was compositely ignored).
They included a small container of white rice, but it was half empty on arrival! How chintzy can you get?
The only saving grace was the Phad Prig Sod - but beware: DO NOT order this extra spicy. You'll get a dish that is literally 2/3 jalapeno chunks. Once you pull out the majority of the jalapeno to achieve a standard ratio of meat to vegetable, the chicken and onions are pretty tasty. Too bad they don't give you enough rice to accompany it.
Overall, I have to say, stay away from this restaurant.
