Waited in line to check in. 1hr 30 minute wait time. They now text status updates and wait time straight to your phone. The help desk attendant encouraged me to leave and come back since the text messages would keep me up to date on status. The quoted time ended up being half the time. I constantly checked the status updates and wait time in front of me. The text message automated system needs adjusting because it wouldn't allow me to "M-need more time" to push myself back while I tried to hurry back to the DMV in time. Basically I lost my spot and had to do the whole process over again... Now triple the wait time.. Moral of the story don't leave the building and rely on the text message system to give you accurate time frame.
