A Review of the Rainforest Cafe. By Dimitri D.
The first Rainforest Cafe I went to was in Florida when I was about 6 years old so I don't have too many memories about my time spent there. Anyway, I was on vacation in Toronto (very nice city by the way) visiting Niagara Falls and me and my party had talked about going to the Rainforest Cafe sometime during the week. So we waltzed in and the entire outside of the building was a volcano (it actually had real smoke coming out it which was kinda neat). As soon as we walked in I was already very impressed with the layout and design of the restaurant. You can tell a lot of thought and a lot of creativity went into creating the indoor jungle. We were seated right next to a misty fountain with rushing water pouring into the little tub which was very pleasant to the ears. Little aquariums are scattered all around the place. The sound effects can get a little annoying after a while but even still, it's a nice restaurant with a fun environment that brings out everyone's inner youth.
Now that I'm done blabbing about the atmosphere I'll tell you about the food. I had a pretty damn good chicken sandwich there with fries that I thought were tasty. The food's not the BEST you'll ever eat but don't get me wrong, it's still very good. The prices though are insane! $15 for a chicken sandwich that isn't that much bigger all around than a Baconater from Wendy's! But I suppose that they're adding the atmosphere to the price of your meal to. The wait staff there are very friendly which is good. Like James K. said "it's a good place to go once or twice a year."
