Love this place. The beers are usually pretty well priced (2$ specials) and the food itself is a great value. I never leave there hungry or being disappointed with the meal. The free corn salsa they give you with chips is delicious and has a little zing to it because of the red onion they mix in imo. I've also had plenty of the cheese dip appetizer over the years and it has a kind of "smokey" taste to it that sets it apart from a regular white cheese you would get at a lot of mexican restaurants.
The tacos are all well prepared and my personal favorite is the BBQ Mahi tacos. I probably get that at least 2 out of every 4 trips there. A lot of the other times I will try out whatever the special is they are having. I tried the scallop wrap yesterday and while the scallops themselves tasted a little overdone (I'm guessing its extremely difficult to cook a perfect scallop) it was still a great meal.
The only thing I think they could work on, and this is something I have noticed over the years, is that it seems like a lot of the time they run out of the specials. May just be a testament to the restaurants popularity but if the special is no longer available please take the eraser to the chalkboard so my taste buds don't get all worked up for nothing,
