  • Ok, first off, I heard of this place coz of my food buddy. He took one of his dates to this place and he said it was pretty good. So decided to check it out. First impression, it's on the corner of the big lots shopping center. No biggie. Going in, I see that even though it's a respectable amount of diners esting, there's only 3 people working the floor. One if bussing the tables, 2 are actively serving the tables. Mind you, these 2 active servers have to help at least 7 tables each. 1 for each side of the restaurant. One server for potentially 10 tables each just means that their attention for each table is very minimal. At the time, there's only 7 tables active, but they would only be on the table for maximum of 1 minute each. There is also a language barrier with the servers, but it's ok. They made it up with friendliness. We waited to be seated for at least 10 minutes, that should not be a situation, but we walked in at the very same time as another couple and as soon as they walked in, they got seated...but not us even though they have open tables available. Also, when I ordered extra rice, I eat a lot of rice, I had to remind them about it. When it arrive, it wasn't warm but was still ok to eat. Now onto the food itself. The meat was great especially the brisket and bulgogi. Everything else was a little too fatty, even for my taste. I've been known in my family and friends to be th e person to eat the fattiest steak. Some people would even call the steak that I like to be heart attack steak. But the meat that was serve was too fatty. I'm gonna need to workout a little extra coz of it. But, it was still good. I've been to another AYCE korean bbq, but in California, and I'd do the one in California before I'd do this one again. Overall, I'd give this place a 3 out of 5. Would I come back again? Maybe. Would I suggest this place to my friends? Yes, if they want to go to an AYCE. Would I suggest this place over the other places I've eaten in the area? I'd probably suggest other places in the area first before I would suggest honey pig. Only because it didn't give me the feeling of wanting to go back to this place. If I really want AYCE meat, I'd go to Swish over on Sahara. One other good thing about this place is that they are open 24 hours. Just thought I'd point that out, just in case anyone would be looking for a Korean bbq place at 4am. This place can improve so much with just a few things. One of them would be hiring more people to accommodate the volume of clients. I get that budget might not be up to par, but in my experience, I've seen a whole different level of customer satisfaction just because the establishment hired more workers to make people happy. More workers would mean that orders wouldn't be forgotten, more time interacting with customers instead of rushing through customers, and increased volume of customers since they can accommodate them.
