Do NOT trust this corporation. I saw a doctor here following my third heart attack. I experienced problems with meds and called a nurse several times. After supposedly talking to the doctor, she changed my dosages several times. The next time I saw the doctor, he irately accused me of changing the dosages myself. Of course, he also was unable to access information on the computer in the exam room and complained that he shouldn't be expected to know how to type, so I have no idea whether the changes weren't charted or the doctor couldn't or didn't want to bother to read the chart.
It gets worse. I called the next day to clarify what dosages I SHOULD be taking. I called three days in a row, and no one ever called me back. A couple of months later, I had a 4th heart attack. Of course, I changed cardiologists. NHVC had me taking meds to lower my BP to the point that my systolic was consistently in the low 70s. The new team wanted to put in a central line because my systolic would not rise above 110. Since I had been living with a systolic less than 80 for several months, I refused the procedure for fear my "consumer-driven" insurance would not pay for it. (I work for the state.)
Like all profit-driven corporations, these people are interested in the quantity of people they see, not the quality of service they offer. It's difficult enough to deal with that kind of greed when we buy consumer crap. Dealing with it in health "care" could cost us our lives.
