Thanksgiving meal horrible... it's been a long time since my last visit... LAST visit. My family and I went last year for Thanksgiving and the experience was amazing! Dad took mom for their anniversary and couldn't stop raving about it.. so it was natural to book Thanksgiving dinner there again.. Boy was I wrong...so very wrong. The service was so-so, but the food was unforgivable. My soup wasn't even warm... it was cold. It would have been good... but a creamy soup served cold.. yuck. I of course ordered the turkey, my parents the fish. Are you effing kidding me... shaved pieces of turkey meat.. did I ask for a deli sandwich? And it was cold. The gravy - a teaspoon.. needless to say I just pushed it about my plate and did not eat.
Since it was served family style I was at least going to be able to eat something.. however there was only enough sides for 1.5 people - and mind you we eat like Europeans not American's - we do not do the HUGE plate servings... so needless to say, I let my parents have the side...
They didn't even offer bread/rolls - really? You did last year... it was a poor excuse of a meal... and attempt by the kitchen. The fish, from what mom said, was bland and without any flavor. They didn't allow us salt at the table... and the fish was soo small it wasn't even a dieters recommended serving portion... wow.
The ONLY thing I was able to enjoy... yep you guessed - the Martini - thank gawd for the olives...
