  • I've stayed at the Stratosphere twice, my first time staying here was back in 2007, it was also my first time in Vegas and I had nothing to compare it to. It was decent, I enjoyed the casino, the buffet was ok, the room was clean but reeked of cigarettes as if it had at one time been a smoking room. I enjoyed going up to the top of the tower, but would definitely not go on those crazy rides! It's all the way at the end of the strip so to get to mid strip, where all the happenings are, you're looking at either a half hour on the Deuce bus, $25 cab ride or a very long walk. I stayed here again in 2008, this time the room was really nice, we somehow were given a two room suite, the bed was super comfy, the room did not smell of cigarettes, and the housekeepers cleaned it every day. The night before we were set to leave, I was getting ready for bed, I had taken my contacts out, and then I saw something moving in the bathtub, ugh, it was a roach. Needless to say, I didn't sleep much that night, it completely grossed me out. We actually ended up getting up early, packing up our stuff and just hanging out in the casino until it was time for our shuttle to pick us up. Needless to say, I've not been back to stay at the Stratosphere since 2008, and I probably never will.
