I had trouble writing this review initially because I really wasn't sure whether to give it three or four stars. It's one of those that I really wish I could give a 3.5, but that doesn't exist. I really thought about it and food matters so I'm giving this a three unfortunately. I've been here many times. For happy hour, brunch, and dinner. Lately we stick to just going there for brunch for the almost thought of us. It's $10 for four drinks which include a bloody Mary, beermosa, mimosa, or Michelada. There are a few things to choose from on the brunch menu as far as food. I think we've tried just about everything. The last time in particular we had the sausage and grits, the fried chicken and waffles, and the avocado hummus toast. The sausage and grits was actually quite good. I would give that a four out of five. The grits kind of come in a firm grit cake and it's covered and a sausage gravy that has bacon in it. Definitely something I would order again. The avocado toast was OK. It was avocado and edamame so it had a taste that I wasn't a huge fan of. But it was good for what it was and it came with two big slices bacon on top which made it better, because bacon makes everything better. Now for the chicken and waffles. It was recommended to us by the server. We wanted something a little bit sweet to go along with our savory dishes. Well this was not sweet. It was basically a savory waffle with corn that came with gravy instead of maple syrup and some fried chicken that was just average. I would give this dish at two or 2.5 at best. I definitely would not order this again. It is not sweet and savory if that's what you're looking for. I was just underwhelmed by the whole experience.
Bonus tip though: if you order the Bloody Mary first it comes with a chicken wing!
