I requested a quote through Yelp for some irrigation repairs but they couldn't get a technician out to look at my yard for a few days and I ended up going with Sprinkler Doctor. The technician still came out to the property, and made "repairs" without consulting me or getting authorization. I had no idea anyone was on the property, didn't received a phone call until nearly 24 hours later only to find out that not only did they "fix leaks" they had turned the water on not even 4 hours after the repairs Sprinkler Doctor made, which required the water be off for at least 24 hours so the glue had time to dry. I have no idea what/where these leaks were as there was only one and it had already been fixed. The technician also stated that normally they would charge me for the repairs, which infuriates me because I did not authorization any work being done and there were no other leaks on the property anyway!
UPDATE: 5/20/2016
I did speak with the operations manager about this incident and they explained that due to their company values they always try to exceed expectations. While I definitely understand this and under any other circumstances would appreciate it, I still had no idea anyone was on the property even if it was due to mistyping my phone number. If they had taken the time to verify the number either when placing the work order, or when failing to reach me on their way to the property this whole thing could have been avoided.
I changed the rating from 1 star to 2 star's because they did call me back to sort things out and are offering to fix the original repairs if it does not hold.
