In my opinion, this place is a Montreal landmark for Italian pastries! My family has been coming here since they landed from Italy. The small bakery is located in little Italy, right in front of Dante church which is popular within the Montreal Italian community.
Do you want to have the most authentic Italian canoli's? Go here. They also make different flavoured canoli's; pistachio, coffee, etc. But honestly, I wouldn't even bother -get the original, real deal, traditional cannoli! I would suggest you go for the plain ricotta. This is the true definition of a cannoli, not those flavoured custard/ whip cream canoli's you find at typical commercialized stands at a food court or shopping mall. Another very good traditional pastry is the sfogliatella which is in the shape of a shell. In English, we often refer to this pastry as a "lobster tail". It has a crunchy croissant like surface with a thick custard filling which is absolutely decadent.
Oh and a wonderful tip, The month of November offers canoli's and traditional Italian cakes half price!
