  • At the beginning of the year I traded in my late father's Buick for a 2003 Saturn Ion with supposedly a full 2 year warranty with the dealer. Immediately after driving it off the lot, the power locks stopped working and there was a knocking noise by the front right wheel. When I drove it back to them, they didn't want to even look at it without charging me for the mechanic's time (literally days after I bought it). I ended up paying them to repair it even though it was supposed to be covered under the legal warranty. Then a few days later, the car decided to not start some morning, taking up to 30 minutes before it would turn (not a starter / battery problem, but a sensor problem). They avoided my calls and didn't return my messages until a few days had passed, and when I brought the car in they "couldn't find anything wrong with it, and it started fine while they had it so it must be something I did." Every time I contacted them, they were extremely rude, unprofessional, and basically refused to honour their warranty or stand behind their service. I know that sometimes there are problems with used cars, but that's when you're supposed to make sure you do whatever it takes so that you take care of your customer. On the contrary, at SKS they were basically insulting when I told them that I wasn't satisfied with the service. Their answer to all my problems? "It's a $3500 car - of course it's gonna have problems. Go ahead and bring us to small claims court if you want; you'll win but it'll take months and month." Enough said.
