| - We rented a cabana, seemed easier to have guaranteed shade when it's 108 outside. It was $500 which is just a rental fee. We got a cabana off the lazy river which was great, with the perfect amount of shade until about 3:30-4, when the sun starts heading west. Also IMO it's a lot hotter over by the beach because of the sand so lazy river seems like a better option.
Drink and food service was fairly quick, also I'm pregnant so I appreciated that they make non-alcoholic versions of their frozen drinks: margarita, pina colada, strawberry daiquiri or Miami vice. We also shared the chicken tenders platter which we all enjoyed, it came with a variety of sauces - ketchup, ranch, BBQ, &, honey mustard. It was $60 for I think 10 maybe 12 tenders and fries.
There were lots and lots of children in the lazy river so something to consider, to me it didn't bother me terribly (but again, pregnant). Overall we had a great experience that while pricey was worth it.
