  • Mussels. That's the only word you need to know when heading to Point Brugge. Pick your sauce, it won't matter. The mussels are excellent, and you're going to want extra bread to dip in the leftover sauce! Having been to Point Brugge a few times for dinner and once for brunch, I have to say it's an overall enjoyable experience. The restaurant itself has a wonderful vibe. Small, cozy, casual, and intimate, yet still lively. I've always had wonderful service, and while the wait can be long, I've somehow lucked out and dodged a long wait by going right after work most nights. The bar has a simple selection of excellent beers (craft and Belgian), and a nice selection of mixed drinks. Now, granted, there is always room for improvement. For example, We've had burger buns come out and be toasted so much that you could barely cut through them. Of course, while the bun was rendered inedible, the burger was tasty, so we just always ask for the buns to not be toasted for sandwiches. I also think most of the appetizers are pretty ordinary. They're good, but after you taste the mussels, your expectations are slightly raised, and you'll likely be a little disappointed. You'll find that most people love the frites, too. I can usually go without as the basil mayo is a little too heavy for me, but the fries themselves are tasty. While the dinner entrées sound amazing, I can't vouch for them, since I typically go for the Chimay and mussels, but our friends who order the entrées regularly are huge fans. If you're closer to their Highland Park sister restaurant, Park Brugge, it's basically the same menu (and equally delicious), but the restaurant itself is a little bigger. Either location is definitely worth checking out!
