| - I walked by this place on the way to dinner and planned to return afterward. The first thing that I noticed when I walked through the door was a table of chocolates such as turtles and pretzels. I saw a woman standing behind a counter. She did not say hello. I continued to look at the bakery's selection. I saw many things that looked tasty. I chose several things to purchase. The woman behind the counter asked me what I wanted so she could box it. As soon as I got home, I ate half of the cookies, and I ate the other half the next day. The apricot kolachies, which should be my favorite cookies, were stiff and bland, and I give them a 2/5. I did not enjoy them and ended up throwing half of them away. The lady locks were moist and delicious, but the cream was not injected to the hollow center, so I give them a 4/5. The snickerdoodle and the snowflake sugar cookie tasted as they should so get a 5/5. The pineapple upside-down cake was moist and tasty and gets a 5/5. Prices were about $1-2 per cookie/pastry. They also sell cakes, breads, donuts, cupcakes, muffins, pies, etc. Their selection in person looks smaller than on the website. They also have a sizable section of the store that is devoted to selling supplies such as chocolate and molds, fillings, sprinkles, and frozen foods.
I returned to this business in May 2015. The brownie was 3/5 and tasted like something that I could make from a box from the grocery store. The apricot kolachies, which I purchased last time and did not enjoy, I purchased frozen this time. I had to bake them myself at home, and they were much cheaper (a couple of dollars total for a dozen). The kolachies this time tasted like maybe 4/5 stars.
