  • SKIP. I went here for happy hour with a few friends recently. The food is pricey and bland, as are the drinks (and not particularly strong or worth the money.) But the service is what we were really unhappy with. The busboy spilled a beer ALL over my boyfriend (like, drenched his jeans and shoes.) If that had been me, I would have been mortified and so apologetic. He just said a very apathetic, "Oh, sorry" (like he had bumped his chair) and walked off. (Like, "meh, it happens, whatcha gonna do.") It's not like a spilled beer is the end of the world, but when you're traveling and you brought one pair of jeans, it SUCKS to have someone completely soak you so that you 1) are uncomfortable all night and 2) smell like a stale old drunk for the rest of your vacation. The good (actually... let's call it the "barely okay"): The manager did come over, and they replaced his beer. They also paid for his shoes to get cleaned but that was ONLY because my boyfriend demanded it (since otherwise his shoes were going to be ruined.) Apart from bringing him a new beer (because his was completely empty now!) and napkins, they did nothing to make it seem like they were trying to make up for it. The bad: They brought the bill over, and they had charged my boyfriend for his beer! I called them on it, and the waitress said, "Oh, yeah, because we replaced it." (Aka, they replaced the beer they spilled on him with a second one.) Yes, because HE DIDN'T DRINK ANY OF THE FIRST ONE BECAUSE YOU DUMPED IT *ON HIS LAP*. The fact that they didn't even comp him a drink (not to mention anyone else) is ridiculous, and the waitress seemed genuinely shocked that we would even think they should have. Seriously? Do they not understand the low cost to the restaurant to comp one drink? When I wouldn't let it go, the waitress said, "Oh, I guess I can take that off." When she brought the bill back, she did the super fake, "So sorry about that, I hope you have a great night" blah blah blah fake nice stuff you do when you've just realised you're probably getting a really shitty tip. (Aka, the "too little too late" fake niceness.) I would never go back. it's not the fact that they spilled a drink, that happens. It was more the attitude. I don't care when restaurants screw up, it's how they handle it. It's clearly a place where they know they're in a casino and will get business no matter what, so they're really not concerned about customer's experience.
