| - Giant Eagle has a salad buffet, which is supposed to be open and available at 10 am. I usually get fresh salads between 10 and 11 am several times a week. It happened today, and it happened before, that the buffet is not ready on time. It was 10:30 today and they had just started to remove the leftovers from yesterday, making me wait and wait and wait...., getting snoddy with me when I asked why the buffet wasn't ready on time. "I got a call and I'm running late", was the answer. Why are 3 other employees standing around, doing nothing and one employee is trying to fix the buffet all by herself, while customers are waiting?
This store is open 24 hours, there is no excuse not to have the prepared food department ready on time, and there is no excuse for the employees excuses.
Right now this Giant Eagle is the only larger grocerie store in town, and they know it, and that's why they can treat us that way.
I just know one thing: WalMart on BrookparkRoad is extending their store to a SuperWalMart, and I can't wait for the remodeling to be done. Giant Eagle will lose a lot of customers.
Too bad I missed the store manager today, but I will let him know in person the next time I go there.
