  • This review is for the lovely Orchid Show that the Botanical Garden put together this year. Being as it is my first year as a Cleveland native, it was my first trip to the Botanical Gardens. I love Orchids and enjoy taking pictures of them, so out came my Macro lens as we went on a LONG journey around the displays. I'm sure my compatriot looked around more than a few times to see that I was taking pictures of the same flower for the last 10 minutes, but he didn't complain at all because there was so much to see. The Orchids were spread around every single display, so I can't really comment on what the Glasshouse looks like without them, but from what I can tell, it will still be pretty impressive. I especially liked the upper canopy walk in the Costa Rica exhibit that gives you a bird's eye view of what the jungle forest looks like. Orchid Mania runs until March 28, so you still have time to go and check it out! Since it was still pretty cold outside, there was nothing happening in the outdoor gardens, but I can't wait to come back here in the Spring and Summer to wander around outside and relax on some of the benches and just soak in the stillness....
