| - One of the best hospitals to go to, if you have a choice.. although we were closer to scarborough grace today, I insisted on coming here because I knew 100% we'd have a good experience.
This hospital is clean, every single person working here is friendly, even though we know how tired they are. I've been to emergency twice- once for a work injury where I was rushed in by an expensive ambulance and lovely parademics, the other time today for boyfriend's gym injury because he's a lifting beast at the gym.
Every single person we encountered was amazing in directing us where to go- we entered from the wrong side because we were like 'hey, it's not an emergency, right??' (I don't come here a lot, I don't know hospital things) We saw a triage nurse within minutes. She was very lovely and patient and I know I would've definitely snapped at somebody if I worked her occupation. The registration was quick as well and the lady was super kind. Honestly, I get a lot of anxiety in hospitals and having a couple of nice employees make it a lot better. Unlike other hospitals where the waiting times are brutal and we'd be rotting inside the waiting area for 5-9hrs, we were called in within half an hour or so. Same with the last time I was here for my knee. The doctors are very kind here, and I admire them so so so much. I want to ask a million questions about their occupation, med school and everything but no I just end up awkwardly staring at them with heart eyes. They are so knowledgable and always provides great information for us to work with.
We were in and out of the hospital within 2 hours, and we left with a good impression. The only thing is.. the parking is outrageously expensive. But.. it's a hospital.. what can you do? Honestly it's around the same as the 'indoor' lot at York U.
Additionally, the food options are not great when you're waiting around but what do you expect? Gourmet meals? Hopefully you're not here too often and won't be robbed blind by it.
