rev:text	I've always liked Crowne Plaza hotels, this particular location is questionable. The front desk & lobby area is very nice. The staff are very helpful. The rooms are clean. The pool is amazingly large. And the location is in the heart of downtown Chandler. Your surrounded by restaurants, pubs, bars, small boutiques, etc. And it's down the street from the Chandler Fashion Mall (about a 5 min or less drive). But the only problems I had with this "resort" was... The toilet in my room was leaking. With every flush, I noticed water at the base of the toilet. The "unwanted friends"! There were RATS in the trees that lined our patio. The hubby stepped out for a smoke and noticed there was something in the trees. A rat popped out. As if they were not afraid of humans. I told my husband that there is a field beyond the trees. Most likely, that's where all the rats are coming from. On weekends, you might be blasted with coverband songs, lol. I went to the pool area and was able to hear the band playing at the neighboring pub. I was swimming to the Cure, haha. Even in the room, I still could hear the music. Last but no least, if you have loads of luggage, ask for a 1st floor room! All the rooms are outside and it's 3 floors high. You can get a workout from walking around the propriety or walking to the 3rd floor. Overall, I wasn't impressed with the San Marcos Golf Resort. Oh well, it was only $99 for a 1 night stay. We booked in advance and received a cheaper price.
