| - Went to downtown Toronto and my friends that's into anime wanted to check out this store.
From the moment we walked in, it was apparent the store had a large collection of anime merchandise. They've got manga, figured, posters, and everything an anime fan could want.
However, the overall customer experience was terrible. From the moment we walked in the employee at the front of the store told us leave all our bags at the front, which is completely understandable. However, a couple minutes into looking around, they must have realized we just came to look and won't be buying anything, so one if them keep eyeing us. Eventually he came up to us and said they were stocking today so they didn't want anybody in the store. Why even keep your store open if your don't want people coming in and looking around?? Lastly, most items are very expensive. Identical products can be found on sites like Amazon and even Crunchyroll for cheaper.
Overall the store has a large variety of anime merchandise, but the unwelcoming atmosphere is a major turn off. Due to the price hike, it's a nice place to just look around, but the employees will make sure you don't enjoy your time here.
