| - Ahhhh... hello again, 505west. You just keep coming back, like a bad case of herpes. (That's just what I hear anyways...I swear). I wanted to like you 505west, i really did. I wish we could have ended things with my 3 star, non bias review and positive feeling about you. But due to recent events, I unfortunately now have to agree with pretty much everyone else. You guys are downright shady. Those of you reading at home might be asking yourselves- "this is six months later, what could have possibly happened?" Well, allow me to digress.
I received a phone call at work from a bill collector the other day, telling me that I owe almost 600 bones, or clams if you will, to 505west apartment homes. Unbeknownst to me, this bill was almost 6 months delinquent. Nothing was ever sent to my new address in regards to an unpaid debt. No phone call. No email. Nothing. I guess you guys are still using typewriters and sending your mail via horse and carriage. Which is kinda cool, but rather inefficient. I hear that the Pony Express is coming back. Perhaps you should consider using their services.
So I get in touch with Kristin (using a "cellular telephone") who in my opinion seems like a decent person. I think she often times just gets caught in the crossfire of shit slinging between residents and corporate fat cats and does her best to do her job the right way. She explains the charges, which were for carpet cleaning and an extra month of rent because I gave them a 30 day move - out notice, and they require a 60 day notice. "It's written in the lease," she says. I say "I know that it's my responsibility to know my lease, but it would have been nice if you guys could have maybe put a notice on our door when the 60 days is approaching, like as a courtesy or something." She replies "well, that's not really our job."... yes I understand that it isn't your job. It's MY job to be a responsible adult and take care of my own business. It would have just been NICE of you, that's all. And seriously, a 60 day notice? I should have just announced the day that I picked up my keys "IM MOVING OUT AT THE END OF THIS LEASE. CONSIDER THIS A 364 DAY NOTICE," complete with cigars and champagne.
As for the carpet cleaning, I totally understand. Anytime you install off-white carpet into any room, its pretty much going to look like dog shit after 2 months, let alone an entire year. It doesn't matter how much you vacuum or shampoo it. Maybe you guys should just install plywood floors and save everyone the trouble. That way, if someone happens to walk on it and leaves a permanent dust mark, you can just throw down some wood putty and call it a day. Or, better yet, how about you just use a different color of carpet? You know, one that doesn't show completely normal wear and tear so easily? Most people, like myself for example, enjoy a medium shade of brown.
Listen, I'm not mad at you 505west. Just disappointed. I thought we had a mutual "just-pay-your-goddam-rent-and-don't-talk-to-me" relationship. I thought you were different than all the other slums out there. But you used me, abused me, and then basically billed me for child support.
And to Samantha, the person who responds to all of these bad reviews;
Girl, you can do so much better than working for these people. I know that you have bills to pay, possibly kids to feed, and all the other things that life throws at you. But you need to get out of there. Do it for you.
