  • Alright, I'm going to give it to you straight: I don't have kids and I still think the aquarium is worth a visit. I'm not going to argue about the cost because I do think it's on the pricey side but before you have an aneurism because you think that's too much to spend for an hour or so of entertainment, hear me out: I think it's worth the admission. Why? Because it's a fun and relaxing way to spend some time. With the crazy weather we have (hot, muggy summers and blistering winters), there are plenty of days where you just want somewhere temperature-controlled to go for a while. And let's be honest, keeping all those fish alive and healthy can't be cheap. The space is laid out well. Often when you go to aquariums, the fish are either afraid or just aren't interested in you. I really enjoyed that they've done well stocking the place with more curious breeds who come up right up to you to see you better. One of the highlights for me was the extensive Ohio Lakes & Rivers exhibit, because it gives all us city slickers the opportunity to actually see what's happening in our own ecosystem. I will warn you that's it's popular with school groups but they force the kids to stay together so they won't swarm you like locusts.
