For what the valley has to offer and for the little community the Japanese has this is by far a hidden gem. The cravings for Japanese comfort food is often hard to satisfy here in the desert. Often trips to LA will have to be the one to kill such cravings.
This place is mom and pop and very comforting to me. Many with closed minds will not give this place a shot after walking in but with one taste of the food they will know that the appearances of the surroundings is nothing compared to the food they serve.
For what you pay the portions are generous and the dinner is very complete with the miso soup, salad, yakitori skewer and gyoza that you also get.
I love to support the local businesses and especially family run establishments where the owner is the one you talk to.
