  • I had an emergency with my 13 year old 150+ lb dog .. and was so lucky I took him here and Dr. Denise Taylor was able to see him immediately. This emergency hospital is deceptively low-key, but absolutely wonderful - they are warm, caring, supportive, knowledgeable, excellent vets and very good at talking to (rather than at you). Dr. Taylor took the time to do a full exam, take a history and contact the vet center I had just gotten him home from a few hours earlier, and then spent the time to walk me through all the options without advocating for a particular one or rushing me for an answer. I felt (and still do 2 months later) that I was so lucky I took my dog here. Since I had just checked him out of the Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center (where their high tech approach is laudable but feels and acts like a standard medical mill where you and your pet are more one of hundreds they see each day and don't personally connect with), I knew I definitely was not going to take him back there and needed an alternative emergency vet .. and this one was the best on Yelp. Since he was hours from dying, I also appreciate the way they handled arranging for me to say goodbye and take all the time I needed in a private room to be with him as he passed and afterwards. And they even made all the arrangements for his cremation so I could pick up his ashes a week later. I could not recommend them more highly if you love your pet and need expert advice and treatment.
