This is my 2nd experience with this hospital group. One good one bad. 50%? The 2nd experience was good until I had to deal with Dignity's insurance. What a nightmare! I received a bill for an extra $400+ 2 months later after I paid my entire amount they gave me at first. So, I called the number listed on the bill that said if I had billing questions call that number. When I got a hold of some lady and asked why the increase, she read off the amounts listed on the bill. I tried to ask her I can read that but why the increase but she interrupted me and She then quoted some law and said I signed a paper agreeing to pay all uncovered fees. Again I tried to ask her the same question, again I was interrupted mid sentence. Now she said I need to call the hospital. I started to ask her why would the bill say call this number and again she interrupted me with a rude loud tone. At this point I told her to quit interrupting me and said I'm done and hung up. I called back and told the nice young lady that answered what happened, she apologized and I asked to talk to a supervisor. She put me on hold and came back about 2 minutes later and told me he was on another and would call me back in the next couple minutes. This was at 5:36pm. Never did I receive a call that night. The next day I get a call from St. Rose hospital, where they left message. The hospital experience was great, staff, Doctors ect. The billing people must hate their jobs to talk to people that way and not even call back when you were told they would. My co-worker had the same experience. He said it was such a beat down that you just cave in and pay so you don't have to deal with them any more. I am in the process of changing Drs. because he works for Diginity and they will never get another dollar from my family. Of possible use someone else, it's not worth being treated like dirt.
