  • Las Vegas has a limited amount of specialists. My husband has not been able to smell and taste since summer of 2017, so we started looking for an ENT specialist. We came to NP Dawn and Dr. Manthei because I didn't know anyone that was good. Bad choice. We went here in a span of 5 months. It took a month to get a new patient appointment in where NP Dawn was the only one with some decent bedside manner. When she couldn't figure it what was wrong with my husband, she said she couldn't figure it out and referred us to Dr. Manthei. Seeing Dr. Manthei was okay but the entire diagnosis process and surgery was hell. He barely educated us on the procedure and then the surgery did not resolve anything. We got a second opinion elsewhere and the septum was not even fixed. My husband still cannot smell or taste and Dr. Manthei did nothing about it. In fact, the follow up appointment was scheduled with another doctor, unbeknownst to us!! So my husband decided to cancel it. Thousands of dollars later we have to get my husband another surgery to resolve the same issues, since Dr. Manthei failed to do so. We have a second opinion from another ENT specialist that was referred by a friend of mine, but the current doctor at least showed us the images from the MRI scan and explained to us what he is going to do.
