  • We decided to come to this vet after extensive research for veterinarians throughout the Valley. Having moved here from out of state and away from the greatest vet ever, we certainly had high expectations. Based on reviews, Dr Lee was highly recommended and at the time, their website listed Dr Lee as the only vet on staff. After showing up to the appointment with 2 animals we were shown to the room and after a brief history by the tech, the vet (at least who I presumed to be the vet) came in and started examining one of the two animals. I did not receive an introduction, a "Hi.. my name is" or anything of the sort. Although pictures can be sometimes dated we did not think it looked like Dr Lee but we had no idea. Upon check out, we realized it was NOT Dr Lee. Needless to say, there was not an introduction nor was there a "Welcome" or "Glad to meet you" since this was our FIRST visit and we were bringing in 2 (potentially 3) NEW "patients" Prices here are about on par with other vets in the area with the exception of teeth cleaning. They are most definitely on the HIGH side when it comes to it and do not ask the front office for teeth cleaning estimates as they are completely inaccurate. We called to get an estimate and we were quoted similar to other vets in the area. Then we took our animal in for a "check-up" prior to the appointment and they came back with an estimate some $200 over the initial estimate given to us over the phone. When we called and asked about it, the practice said it is high because of the anesthesia they use. Should have been a major red flag. Upon completion of the procedure (nearly 8hrs after dropping off our animal) we received a call that the procedure is done but they had to remove upwards of about 7 teeth! Yes, more than just one or two teeth and we did not even not receive a call about this removal! The final bill was obviously on the upper limit of the estimate. Needless to say we continued to go there and I was almost always present during the visits. One of our animals became sick so we had more than a few trips to the vet within a year's time, always seeing the same vet. We did feel that they order unnecessary tests and at times it felt like he was posing the worst-case scenario to us in order to justify a cost or a test. Granted, I am not a veterinarian, but I never felt uncomfortable or second guessed a test our previous vet ordered. The last straw for me was when I took one of our animals in (keep in mind that I have been to this place about 10 times within the past year for our animals) the vet walks in and says, "Hi, what seems to be the problem." Then looks up at me and says "Have we met before?" I wanted my animal to feel better so I let it go. You would think that after spending that much time and money in a year that the vet would have the common courtesy to at least fake that he remembers me or that we have spent over $1000 at this place within 6 months and about $2000 the past year! We are sorry that we never got a chance to meet Dr Lee as his reviews are stellar. I am pleased to say that our animals are doing fine, are healthy and the vet did do what he was supposed to when one got really sick. The rating is based on the service we received and the common courtesy we did not receive. They are now in the care of another vet at another location.
