| - I have eaten at Soho for lunch and have had happy hour. can't say enough good things about this place. for lunch, they offer a few lunch special selections as well as the full dinner menu. I've had the sashimi lunch special as well as the chicken katsu lunch special. the sashimi lunch special portion is very good for the $10 price tag. you get a couple pieces of salmon, tuna, and Hamachi. pretty good value. not to mention rice, miso soup, and a salad. the katsu lunch also has salad, rice, and miso soup. the portion for me was a bit small. wish they gave a little more katsu. but the flavor and crunch of the katsu was unbelievable. i've honestly never had katsu this good before. i don't know what it was, but every bite i took, I kept asking myself if this was the best katsu i've ever had. and I'm thoroughly convinced it is.
for happy hour, i can't say enough about the ahi tostadas. i could eat 10 of these. the hydro bibb miso black cod is so flavorful, delicate, and delicious. one of my favorite menu items. hamachi sashimi is wonderful as well. the sauces and oils the chef adds totally enhances the Hamachi and the flavors dance in your mouth. everything is so complimentary and the fish is always the star. rock shrimp tempura was very good as well. sweet and juicy shrimp in a pillowy tempura batter was quite delicious. firecracker roll has a lot of fish in and on top of it. the sauce was spicy without being over powering.
one of my favorite japanese restaurants in las vegas. strip quality food at local prices. can't go wrong there.
