| - I would have to agree, the customer service for this particular location is second to none. I've rented quite a few cars over the last few years, this location strived for excellent customer service and they certainly delivered. I would gladly have rated them five stars, however the condition and cleanliness of the vehicle were not exactly what I was expecting from Enterprise, especially at a high volume airport location.
Upon arriving into Phoenix, to avoid waiting in the one person deep line, I was invited to use their self-service kiosk. Although I was hesitant, the experience was very positive and I would certainly do it again. The user interface for the self-service kiosk was very easy to understand and was very efficient. The directions to the vehicle from the kiosk were very clear (they were printed on the receipt) and someone was ready and waiting at the garage for us. We were promptly greeted with a friendly hello and some water.
After selecting the car, a Hyundai Elantra, I noted some very minor exterior blemishes on the vehicle. I was assured that the damage was minor and not worth noting on the agreement (a minor scuff and a ding) since the damage was smaller than the size of a golf ball. Unfortunately due to the limited light provided by the interior dome light (it was night time when I picked up the vehicle), I missed the layer of dust on the dashboard and awkward stains on the front seats and one on the back seat. I can certainly understand a high volume rental lot such as Phoenix needing to turn around their cars quickly, but the cleanliness of the vehicle left a lot to be desired. Frankly, considering the great customer service, I was surprised they'd let a vehicle in that condition off their lot. When I returned the vehicle, I let them know the vehicle wasn't cleaned appropriately when I got it. I was assured that someone would look into it to prevent it from happening again. I was promptly issued a receipt for the rental and bid safe travels.
Considering the lot is very busy, I could understand the exterior of the vehicle with water spots or not being the cleanest. Unfortunately the interior (where people spend most of their time) was not cleaned appropriately and it will make me more cautious when renting a vehicle. Although it did not ruin our vacation or anything, I felt it was worth noting so others can check their vehicles so they're not surprised the next day as my wife and I were. Their excellent customer service and wide variety of vehicles will definitely bring me back, just with a more cautious eye.
