  • I was looking for a new, used 2011 Ford Explorer, and I was being "picky". I talked to a bunch of dealers near me and I could not find what I wanted. I found a truck in PA that was exactly what I was looking for. The price was reasonable. I spent time doing what I could from here to make sure the truck was in the condition I wanted and it would be the right price when I got down there. I primarily worked with Mike Buch. I ended up calling the used car Manager Doug Allen to get to the bottom line price. I checked into have the car shipped to me, and that would have been ok, but I wanted to see the vehicle before I bought it. I rented a one way car from Hertz and drove down there. When I got there there was a scuff on the vehcile that I could not see from the pictures, but they detailed the car and I determined it was "good enough". I paid cash, because the rate that they could give me could not compare to the rate I could get at home. When I got the vehcile home, the next day I discovered that the driver's side "D" pillar moulding was cracked!!! I was disappointed but I inspected the vehicle and I have to consider that it was my fault for not noticing it. About two days later (I had not called anyone) a new one showed up at my house. Evidently the guys at Woltz and Wind knew it was broken and shipped me one. I did not know how to feel about this because I did not know it was broken and they did, but they shipped me a new one so how could I complain? I then took it to a local dealer (Suburban Ford of Sterling Heights) to have it fixed. They said that it was not warranty and that either I had to pay or Woltz and Wind would have to make arraingments. I asked the service manager to call Doug Allen at Woltz and Wind Ford. I told him that he seemed very helpful in the past. Anyway, they sorted it out and got it fixed at no cost to me. I had feared that after I paid them that they were going to be unresponsive, but they really did everything that I think you could expect when buying a used car. So far I am very impressed with the Ford Motor Company, Wolz and Wind Ford of Carnigie PA and Subruban Ford of Sterling Heights!!! Thanks!
