I had a homework project that brought me to the area so naturally I looked around ahead of time to see what I wanted to try nearby and this ice cream shop popped up.
The ice cream selection was very large. They had the typical flavors but they also had a wide variety of ice creams with a Hawaiian flare. I ordered the Kauai pie ice cream, which was coffee ice cream with chocolate fudge sauce, macadamia nuts, and coconut mixed in. The ice cream was good. I liked the crunch the nuts gave and the texture the coconut added. I felt that the price was very reasonable for the scoop I got. I definitely would like to come back and try some of the other flavors.
I also bought 3 macaroons. The flavors I choose were strawberry, cookies and cream, and lemon since those were the only flavors they had. I don't know why but I was under the impression they were going to have more flavor options so I was a little disappointed there. The macaroons are a nice size though and look very pretty. What's more important though, is that they tasted really good and had the perfect texture. The strawberry one was my favorite. It tasted like a fresh strawberry. The lemon one had a chocolate center and that was weird for me. The components of the cookie itself was good but together it was weird. I didn't like that one very much. The cookies and cream one was really good as well but not my favorite. I wish I had bought a dozen strawberry ones! If it was 30 minutes away, I would drive back today.
The inside is cute and has a good number of tables inside. I ended up staying here to study for a few hours.
