| - My husband had booked this hotel through hotwire hotel roulette for two nights for $200. For that price, I was expecting at least a decent place, however I was terribly wrong. I am thoroughly disgusted with this dirty hotel. This afternoon we checked in at about 4 o'clock and the front desk guy put us into a dirty rundown room that he said was "dog friendly". Upon opening room 302 in the north and side of the hotel, we were immediately blasted in the face with a heavy smell of cigarette smoke. After putting our luggage down, I went to 1 of the bed and saw that there was smears of what appear to be dried blood or feces on the headboard. I was totally disgusted with it and my so my husband decided to wipe it off and said that he will sleep in that bed instead of me. I went to the second bed in the room, and as I looked up towards the bed lights attached on top of the headboard...what do you know? Smack dabs of dirty feces/dried blood on the stainless steel lights. After seeing that filth, I decided to go to the lobby and talk to somebody regarding the room. I was told that because we had a dog that was the only room they had available for us therefore they could not move it into any other room. That is understandable, however, I would have appreciated it if they had given us some sort of discount to compensate for the dirty room but instead we only got an apology and they sent a maid in to clean it off. I honestly would recommend people to please find a different place to stay at. I've heard that they only renovated one part of the hotel and the ones in the back are all old and untouched and FILTHY.
We are stuck here for 2 nights and am contemplating just checking out tomorrow morning and booking another place. However seeing their poor reviews on other sites about not refunding their customers, I doubt that we would get our money back.
Do Not Book this place please! Save yourself the pain and money and get a room for a cheaper price, and I kid you not, a La Quinta is better quality than this horrid dirty place! It's a run down MOTEL at best!
EDITED UPDATE:
We decided to leave the hotel after 1 night of sleepless night (there was some sort of party going on outside until 3am, it was loud!) Thank God for Casey who was not only polite and apologetic, but she also authorized a refund with Hotwire to let us leave after the first night (we were still charged the $100 for the night we stayed though). I think the hotel really need to thank Casey at the front desk for keeping the guests happy.

Hi there,
We wanted to let you know that we have removed your photos of Camelback Sahara Hotel. We encourage users to post business photos that are broadly representative of the business, while sharing their personal experience with that business in a review. So according to Yelp, a reviewer is not allowed to honestly post photos of their personal experience...which I thought was what Yelp was created for??? I am completely appalled at this and now I feel that Yelp is no longer honest to reviewers.
