  • My Volkswagen Golf was making a weird groaning noise every time I turned or went over a speed bump. Sickened at the thought of how expensive this mysterious noise would be to fix as a kid straight out of college, I searched for a reasonable place around where I live. Martin's came up on Yelp and were willing to schedule me immediately. I brought my car in and then went to work, nervously awaiting the phone call with the quote. To my great surprise, they fixed the creaking problem for free by tightening some loose bolts and charged me for a simple, low maintenance fee. They also gave me a full diagnostic, saying what I should probably fix soon and how much they would charge. They didn't pressure me to complete any of these fixes, though I opted for a battery replacement and fuel filter replacement. My car was done the same day after work and the price was totally fair. So impressed. My car is running great and I feel a lot more comfortable after them explaining what was going on. I am by no means a "car person" so this is a great step in adulting for me.
