  • To do my part as a responsible citizen who cares about mother earth, I decided to do public transit on my current trip to Montreal. Car rental and parking savings for 2 days will be likely over $100, not to mention the high cost of gas here. In its place, a $10 one-day card or a $18 two-day card will take all (well, 'most') of the hassle out of your travel. What a deal! The bus from what used to be known as Dorval (now known as Pierre Elliot Trudeau Internationational - my hero) runs very frequently. However, the demand is high, and it is entirely possible that you won't get on the first bus, especially if you have bags. Seating is also limited: on a full bus during rush hour, 1/3 of pax will be standing up, and it can be a long time standing. As well, while the bus benefits from HOV lane usage, if traffic is heavy, the bus (unlike Le Metro) is not immune. Know what you're getting into, but it's definitely worth a try. There are other options as far as fares are concerned.
