  • The concept of Toasted Mallow is undoubtedly pretty cool. And even if I wanted to, I couldn't give this place a bad review because the people were so friendly and seem to really enjoy what they're doing. I like marshmallows - especially toasted marshmallows. The problem is, I've always preferred them as a supplement to something else, such as ice cream or a hot chocolate topping as opposed to a standalone treat. The main selling point at Toasted Mallow is their s'mores, which you can either order in a graham cracker bowl, sandwiched between two cookies, or served on a skewer. The marshmallows come in a variety of flavors with toppings added. You can then request the level of toasting based on preference. My girlfriend and I opted for dark toasted, as it brings back memories of those childhood campfires where I'd torch the hell out of my mallows to the point where they were completely charred on the outside with a gooey interior. Now, if you love marshmallows, you will be in total heaven. My girlfriend and I both liked our s'mores, but we just felt like it needed something else. Maybe it would have worked better with the cookies, but my mind kept reverting back to those ice creams we've eaten that layer up with a macaron and toasted marshmallow on top. It just seems more satisfying when it's used as a supplement rather than the main attraction. But again, this is only my personal opinion. Their menu also offers a variety of sweet drinks and edible cookie dough with marshmallow whip, which might be interesting to experiment with on a return visit. Overall, this is a neat idea that is very different than any other place we've visited for desserts. For that, I give them a strong recommendation - although I'm not entirely sure if what they're doing is going to work for everyone. Check them out!
