  • My wife and I have not volunteered. We have donated and will continue to donate each and every year. Today, we took their tour, which was an hour and a half of "awesomeness" and a great education. Yes, it was the country's first food bank. No, they don't turn needy people away. The Yelper who commented about multiple households failed to mention that they DO serve multiple households living under one roof. Not only that, they can come in the same vehicle as long as there is an adult representative from each household. We were impressed with the work they do before we went on the tour. Afterwards, we were simply blown away. What a wonderful job they do, what a great staff they have, and they are blessed with amazing volunteers.
