| - When I first got into the parking lot I noticed the lawn and trees were kept very nice, and the inside of the main complex was nearly spotless. When I entered the facility there was one woman at the desk already helping another customer, and about three more in the waiting room. Though she made sure to make eye contact with me to let me know I had been acknowledged. She hurriedly, but professionally, helped the woman to the side and began to assist me. I said I had never been with them before and she gave me the form to fill out, she showed me what to, and not to, sign and date. A little stupidly, I asked for a pen with the case right in front of me. She pointed to the cup with a smile and we chuckled a bit. I took to my seat and began to survey the room. The coffee area was VERY well kept, the carpet and floors vacuumed and washed. The whole area had a scent of "clean" to it. Although it felt as if my wait time was lengthy, the staff made sure to ask several times if I needed something to read or drink. Just a little past 25 minutes go by and I am called into the back. Diamond was the tech. helping me. She made sure to looked me in the eye, she spoke clearly, confidently and without a doubt as to what she was trying to convey. When I entered the back she informed me of several tests needing to be done in order to get the true feel for my eye and all its needs. She sat me down in the first chair and explained how the machine would read the curvature of my eye and actually explained to me what a cataract is better than my Biology teacher. She did best to make me feel physically comfortable stooping and bending over for the tests since I had stated that I had bad back issues, which I do. After that was done then it was on to check pressure. After that was completed she directed me to a backroom sitting area with four chairs and a television, there were already two people ahead of me. She asked if I was cold and needed a blanket to be comfortable. I dismissed it at first, but it was very unexpected for them to even have accommodations in such a manner, it really hit home. I took my seat once again and began reading a magazine. After only about ten minutes I was asked very politely to come to the examination room, she warned there might be a wait and if I liked the magazine to bring it, once again, always making sure of the little things. Once I took my seat Diamond introduced me to the doctor's assistant whom would be dilating my eyes and seeing how much correction I truly need. She was very homely and kind. Made very clear what my vision was like and the degree in which I was impaired and that the doctor would be with me shortly. There was about another ten minute wait, then the doctor came in. He explained to me that he, upon own personal morals, wouldn't preform unnecessary procedures. I asked if he thought that I would qualify based on his judgement and he nodded and said that one eye could do tons better but the other was not as bad, and that if push came to shove do the one before the other, or that one alone. He explained VERY thoroughly the results of my individual tests and what they meant. Then after the meeting we shook and Diamond was really to talk money. I was taken back into the very furthest office and it almost felt like being backed into a corner to make me timid about my financial standing. This what not the case. I make very clear to her at the start that I wouldn't be paying for it as it would be a gift for my 21st birthday. I told her I would be repeating this information to who would provide payment, she made sure to give me EVERY detail and even gave me a packet with all the financing information and such. She even quoted me the student prices and wrote them down for me. We concluded our meet and she walked me to the door and shook my hand. I said I was very interested in the procedure and would consult my grandfather about it before scheduling another appointment. All-in-all it was the absolute best experience I could imagine and the only time I have ever left a business feeling more intelligent than when I arrived. I would have given it a four and a half just for the wait times, but the customer service nullified any negative feelings I had about waiting around.
