  • Really wanted to like this place but haven't had any luck! Let's start with the a/c which doesn't seem to be on. When I go to a restaurant, I don't want to sweat during my meal. I can do that at home. Please turn the a/c temp DOWN. Atmosphere, way too dark for a restaurant/bar. Wait to dim the lights until after 9 p.m. Service - I have been there 5 times. 4 out of 5, horribly slow service. At one visit, we were seated outside and had to go INSIDE to the bar to get refills. When I went inside, the waitress was no where to be seen. It seems the staff desert you once they take your order. EXCEPTION: last night Manny was fantastic. Food: ok, have to give it to them there, the bbq is tasty. But when I ordered their Boudin Balls last night, they 'changed the recipe so when the fried them, they burned' (per Manny). Really? I thought it was a signature item. How can you mess them up? Lastly, drinks, I think it has a poor selection of liquor and beers. I can see there are some locals that enjoy the bar and that's great, I hope this place makes it. However, I won't be back.
