  • First off, we purchased our Acura TSX from Jim, one of the salesman there. Excellent experience. If this review was based solely on our experience with Jim, it would be 5 stars. However, I am reviewing their service department, as we, wanting to be loyal to the dealership we had a great sales experience with, decided to bring our vehicle in for the regular maintenance it requires. Despite living in Markham right near Markham, Acura and working Downtown, close to Downtown, Acura we chose to make the drive out to Acura East. From the first service we should have known not to return. The useless "service advisor" did not have our appointment noted despite us calling to confirm it with her the day before. We had asked for the day use of vehicle, which we were told we would get - she again said that this is not possible and she had no record of the request. An hour later, given a rental from Enterprise, we were on our way, with a promise from her the 'service advisor' to call us upon the car being ready. It was estimated to be a two hour job. We call after about 3 hours. No answer. Finally we get through 4 hours later and she says 'ooops, my bad, your car has been ready since two hours ago...I forgot to call you". What?? How can this even happen? She was very casual about it and shrugged it off when we arrived there. We had asked for an accessory to be fixed onto the interior of the trunk, this wasn't done. She hadn't even communicated this to the mechanic, despite us asking the shop rate for them to affix it and telling them to add that to our total. THEN...one day after this service, we notice the same issue wrong with the car. We go back and have much the same run-around. All errors point to the doorknob Amina working the front desk. She "advises" people incorrectly, telling all customers to 'save their money' and not get this or that repair done now, but to come in later for it despite us repeatedly telling her its not about saving money for us, but for our car to be maintained. A dealership turning away service??? I know, hard to believe, but go to Acura East and talk to Amina and you will find she is SO knowledgeable about everything and can just advise you about your vehicle without once looking under the hood. The service manager is apparently the 3rd one in 6 months and after speaking with him I can foresee a fourth one coming soon. Passing the buck, making excuses and shoddy service. SO.. Go to Acura East for car repairs if: A) you have heaps of time to waste making 3+ visits for one service repair to be done correctly B) you love showing up for CONFIRMED and VERIFIED appointments that you have taken a day off of work for that the person at the front desk has no record of ( despite the followup appt being made IN PERSON and TO HER...Amina this is once again the typically shoddy work of you) C) You hate or are 'over' your car as after an experience with these people you'd feel you're better off ramming right off a cliff.
